Dr Bohn is a General Surgeon Board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Inaddition, he is board-certified in Hyperbaric and Undersea Medicine by the AmericanBoard of Preventative Medicine. Dr Bohn is also certified in Wound Care by theAmerican Board of Wound Healing. For more than 10 years, Dr Bohn has served as thePresident of the American Board of Wound Healing, overseeing certification forphysicians, nurses, and technologists across all wound care settings. Peer validation forcertification and professional support of the American Board of Wound Healing is apriority for ABWH and it’s certifications. Members of APWCA certify through theAmerican Board of Wound Healing and obtain Fellowship status in APWCA. Peerrecognition is a major factor in determining value of any certification. As a member ofthe American Professional Wound Care Association, Dr Bohn has been recognized andhonored with the designation of Masters level in wound care, MAPWCA. He currentlyserves as APWCA’s Vice President. Dr Bohn Advocates for providers to join APWCA andgrow the field of wound care in a professional and organized manner.He is the Past President of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care, aprofessional organization of wound care providers. While AAWC President, Dr Bohninitiated the Fellowship designation for AAWC and developed and lead the PressureUlcer Summit, a globally attended event. The published proceedings from the globalSummit have been cited frequently placing the manuscript in the top 15% of publishedresearch citations.
