APWCA expects a
total attendance of 900+ for the 2009 National Conference. The impressive list of
faculty members include nationally and internationally recognized leading
experts in wound care providing 30 contact hours of education. The registration is multidisciplinary representing all
sub-specialties in wound care. Our last conference, spring of 2008, reflected
registration demographics as follows: 48% podiatrists, 32% other physicians
(including general practice, vascular and plastic surgery, endocrine, etc.) with
nurses making up the 20% balance. Physical therapists, nutritionists, nurse
practitioners and similar medical related fields were also represented in the
registration.
There is ample
time scheduled for registrants to visit exhibits which open Thursday at 3:00 pm,
Thursday, April 2th and then run all day Friday (from 10:00 AM) and Saturday
(from 7:30 AM until 2:00 PM). The conference will utilize the entire ballroom
with 20,000 square feet to be equally divided for the general lecture sessions
allowing 10,000 square feet of exhibit hall to be directly adjacent to the
general lecture room.
